It all began over four decades ago, when two high‑school cross‑country teammates from Detroit — Tyrone Davis and Kevin Hofmann — forged a friendship built on run‑times, resilience and shared ambition.
Years later, Tyrone’s son Anthony, inspired by his grandfather’s refined hat style, envisioned a hat that could combine casual ease with formal finesse. He brought the idea to Tyrone and Kevin (with Kevin’s woodworking passion), and after dozens of prototypes they landed on an innovation: a hat with a wooden brim that unifies two looks in one.
